I have an ADM Q45 infiniti which is a 93/94 model. This is the model of motor you want (lets call it a series 2) as the earlier 89 - 92 motor had design floor in relation to the timing chain guide. It was plastic and became brittle, broke up and ended up going through the motor.
They were supposed to have 206kw but the word is they have around 225 - 230kw. Mine did 150rwkw on the dyno and assuming at least 1/3 loss through the auto 225kw is spot on. When nissan were first testing this engine for the infiniti it made over 260kw and they tamed it down, IE the headers are VERY small with the outlet being less then 1.5 inches. Mine is also running very rich and showed 10:1 AFR's on the dyno. Talking to the owner of the dyno shop he was adamant I would see well over 200rwkw but doing the exhaust and installing an AFM adjuster.
I'll summarise what I understand regarding performance mods. Number 1 these things are built very tough, massive main bearings and 6 bolt mains. Allegedly adjusting one of the cam gears by one tooth (either side) gains

+ kilowatts. As I have never seen it in practice it could be internet bullshit.
You don't need to lower the CR to turbo them. Properly tuned and running low boost well over 500hp is available. I personally thing that running 2 x 2871r's or even 2 x S15 BB T28's would potentially be a cost effective method of upping the HP rather then trying to go all out with NA motor. Check out the patrol link below
Nispro in melbourne do alot of work with these things and there is youtube vid of there 1500hp turbo ski boat running flat out.
Next datsun meet/cruise I can take you for a spin in mine if you want get a feel for them.
