  3. 72' Gl 510 Grandpa Spec Glory Thread

Hey Mick, Man I haven't seen this thread since the 4 door got hammered. That really sucks. Sorry to hear about that! So good to see you're the one that picked up Ryan's coupe. Still spewing you beat me to it though haha. I'll be checking this more often now. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the front bar, wheels and seats done. My mates chasing Watanabes too, so let us know when you want to sell them and I'll let him know. And good luck with the birth of your child. Good times ahead man!!
  4. !datsun Sr1600!

Mate, that engine looks awesome. Where did you get your spark plug cover?
  5. I understand. I'll keep at least 50 meters between me and the Datsuns
  6. Hey Lads, When you're about 40 minutes from Geelong, and about as close to Melbourne as you're going to get, you'll be about 5-10 minutes from my house. I'm going to try and tag along following you down to Geelong, to meet you'll and check out the rigs if that's cool. And if it's needed (I'm sure it won't be) it may be a good opportunity to drop by mine to make any quick repairs needed. I'm no mechanic, but I've got most basic tools. Unfortunately, I don't have a running Datsun, so I'll be in a BM, if that's allowed!! Cheers, Shaun
  7. Visiting Sydney

Crap, unfortunately not. I'll be there on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday only. Staying in Waterloo, but I'll have a car to get around in, I think.
  8. Visiting Sydney

Hey Guys, I'm visiting Sydney next week for a wedding and thought I'd see if there's anything Datto related going on. It's a long shot, but if there's a meet, cruise or anyone getting their 1600s out for a spin, wouldn't mind trying to catch up and meet some Sydney people / cars. I'll have a car up there so should be able to get around a bit. Cheers, Shaun
  9. Another Sr 1600 !?

Possibly the best looking 1600 in Aus! I assume the new wheels will get painted the same cast alloy colour?? And yes, catch can looks cool too!
  10. Project 510 - 1972 Datsun 1600, SR20DET Conversion

Well done Scotty, it must be awesome to blast around in it. When you do paint and interior are you going to put those gauges into a standard dash...... would be cool if you could.

anyhoo, the guys at MyRideisMe.com did a cool write-up on the car, pretty neat since it's predominantly a hot-rod website http://www.myrideisme.com/Blog/datsun-510-nickel-dime-1-blast-to-drive/
