Osr20t - 1971 Datsun 1600 With Sr20det

Recommended Posts

hey Mark, it's hard to say as the old rearend had too much negative camber and would spin up in 2nd gear even with semis(when cold). i could only manange a 1.9 60ft on a set of 215 R888

the last time out on the circuit, i put them on the front and the old RT215 on the rear.

will give more feedback soon as i have them on the rears now.

Out with the old and in with the new...

Cheers

I had it built by Ashford Racing in QLD.

I bought most of the part locally and sent them up with the motor.

Why get it built in QLD I hear you ask?? It was based on good customer service and reputation.

Mark Ashford was given my number by a fellow Datto nut (Ben), a week or so later Mark rings me on a Saturday to discuss the options. Was very impressed by this and after seeing a proper quote, it was decided.

Mark even took some pics while building the motor

no real issues with the motor, just haven't seen its full potenial...YET!

the oil pressure was way too high for my likening, because i gave him a GTiR oil pump to put on. i took it off a month later.

Not to deter you away from Ashford - I 100% recommend him.

but this deal from CRD looks good:

Nothing new with the car yet.

I had the opportunity to have my car shot at a studio by a mate.

Spend a few hours and this is the result

If anyone is interested in a studio shot, please email Chris at cbdesigns@gmail.com

Tell him Pete sent you

Nice work Pete and co!

Given how much you actually drive your car (ie a LOT) it still comes up a treat in pics

thanks all, but major props go to the photographer.

It amazing what a clean white studio, some lights and a bit of photoshoping can do
