Replacement Seatbealt

Recommended Posts

Ok

bought the fairlady home today.

Took my wife for a ride in it

and she was concerned that the

seatbelts are unsafe, so now I need to look

at what is around for replacements

any suggestions?

Its jusr got the lap belt ?

A lot of fairlady owners seem to fit racing harnesses, there's really nowhere to attach a lap-sash belt.

Just run the shoulder part of the harness back to the upright panel behind the seats, bit of plate behind the panel for reinforcement (so ithe bolt doesn't pull through the sheetmetal in an accident) and away you go. Ideally you shopuld have the shoulder belts of the harness running back parallel to the floor, if you run them down to the shelf behind the seats you run the risk of spinal damage in a crash.

Have a google on mounting harnesses (in general, not so much roadster specific) to get an idea of how they should be mounted.

Its a funny over the shoulder belt that clips in the middle of your chest.

My wide, understandably feels that they aren't very safe.

Are the race harnesses ok for the pink slip? Thanks for the info

cheers
