Now that
a. We have quite a few historic regoed cars in SDC, and
b. My historic 1600 wagon has a clutch that works

I was wondering who might be interested in taking their historic regoed Datto for a run down WSID on a Wed night?

Strap yourselves in and see who can break into the elusive sub-20 second zone

Maybe we could have prizes for most consistent performer, best burnout, lowest reaction time etc?

Any takers????

If enough interest I will start a topic in the Events section

UPDATE - Based on feedback in this thread, the date will be Wed 29 Sept 2010.

IMPORTANT - Make sure you wear long sleeves/pants, shoes and have a standards approved helmet. If unsure see details on WSID event page HERE

Nearly everyone with a historic car in SDC should take 2. Just incase you need a spare 1 to try and get home.   ahahahahaha   :woot:
My wife does more things than a Datsun does. However, I can have more than one Datsun without anyone getting jealous.

I'd be interested in giving the 1600 a run. With sick parents, sick kids, holidays and tavelling for work I haven't even started it since Bathurst at Easter

What time do these things start and finish ?

Why not incorporate that into a general SDC meet.
How long has it been since a properly organised event at WSID was held???

I'll be in for running my 180b on that date. Good incentive to have it running sweet and keen to get a better time.

Will also be interesting to see how our cars (and ...err... trucks Graeme) compare to the quarter times recorded in Wheels magazine tests when they were new
