Cooling a supercharged l-series

Recommended Posts

Are mods to the cooling system need when supercharging an L-series in a 1600?

How much hotter if any will the engine run with the supercharger?

Runnning 10psi boost

it will run hotter as the inlet temps cause by the charger compressing the air will be higher, so running a cooler or W/I to cool inlet temps will help, but also the extra load caused by more power will aslo heat the oil quicker, so running a larger radiator with all new hoses and good coolant will surely help reduce any possible overheating issues, or run an oil cooler aswell

the thing about cars is man. doesnt matter what you change. you affect something else. go a bigger radiator n make sure ur cooling passages are clear.
