My 71 1600 Wagon FJ20ET

Hey guys and gals,

Thought I'd put my car up amongst all the other sexy ass dattos in the featured car section! Some of you may remember it from the project cars section from the old datnet.

1971 1600 Wagon

Exterior:

Restored & resprayed last year in a Fiat colour called Blue Dry Metallic

Flared gaurds

New side indicators, rear tail light lenses

Headlights coverted to H4

Re-chromed bumpers, handles and over riders

New rubbers all round - except for cargo area window rubbers

17 inch BSA wheels

Interior:

New carpet

Sparco Pro 2000 buckets (front)

Original rear seat covered

Re-trimmed door panels and dash pad (done myself)

New head lining

Sprayed dash

Autometer Ultra Lite gauges (tacho, oil, water, volts, boost)

GReddy Turbo Timer

Datsport Retractable seat belts

Datsport floor mounted handbrake

Kenwood head deck with 6'" 3- way speakers up front

5-way 500 watt 7"10 speakers in the rear

Power Windows

Rhino Alarm with 5 point immobiliser

Engine:

FJ20ET

Wiseco forged pistons (20 thou oversized)

Custom exhaust manifold made by Mr Enforcer with screamer pipe

GT30/76

Tial 38mm external gate

Custom dump pipe followed by 3" mandrel bent exhaust

PWR custom radiator

Davies Craig electric water pump

FMIC behind grille

Fantasy Performance fuel rail

630cc Injectors

Bosch 044 fuel pump

Surge tank mounted underneath car

Braided fuel lines

Blitz blow off valve

All run by a Haltech E8 with LS1 coils

Datsport Fitting & Handling conversion kit

Datsport Steering box brace

Odyssey Battery mounted underneath car

Brakes & Suspension:

240k struts

DBA slotted discs with 4 pot Hilux calipers front

DBA slotted discs with standard calipers rear

720 Ute master cylinder

Re-set leaf springs in rear with extra leaf fitted with Monroe shocks

Yet to get some proper springs up front (chopped standard springs )

Driveline:

FJ20ET gearbox with a f**cked clutch at present (standard)

Shortened tailshaft to suit

R31 silhouette diff (28 spline LSD) 3:8:9 gears

I had the car tuned a couple of weeks ago before the clutch shat itslef and it made 330rwhp (245kw) on 17psi

Looking forward to getting the clutch fixed so I can start driving it again!

i love the wagons and there isnt many around either. i like the flared guards too and the colour...... pretty much just love the whole car

'tis a nice car, Well done! and yes girls into dattos Rock!

one thing i noticed is when you mentioned what brakes u have, you say DBA rotors and standard calipers... standard? but dattos have drums?

then i read lower and saw skyline rear setup.. ok get ya now... haha its late i best get to bed.

**Update **

New clutch has been ordered and fly wheel is getting machined as we speak .So with a bit or luck it should be back on the road by the end of the month.

I go away for a week and everthing changed, are you going to hit the strip when the new clutch goes in to see if you can better those times?
